NWNHC Internships

Turn your passion into a profession.

Natural horsemanship students from across the U.S., Canada and Europe have looked to the NWNHC to get a jump-start on their professional education and get practical experience as part of their collegiate study. Many have gone on to be independent instructors and trainers, Parelli Professionals or chosen to just enjoy learning with their horse.

An NWNHC internship is a real business learning experience, not stall-mucking and cheap labor. You will learn how to make your love of horses a business and the skills required to make a living in the equine industry. You will also hone your horse training and teaching skills with experienced instructors and trainers, and have the opportunity to meet, interact and learn from nationally-recognized clinicians.

Areas of Learning

  • Teaching
  • Training
  • Marketing
  • Event planning and management
  • Farm & herd management
  • Budgeting & business accounting
  • Holistic horse health and care

Each internship is designed to focus on the areas of your interest. Standard internships require a 3-month or 6-month commitment and can include room and board as well as the opportunity to bring your own horse.

“Awesome experience! Working at NWNHC is where I got to meet and hang out with Craig Cameron, Jack Brainard, Anna Twinney, and other top-notch horsemen! Plus, I got to work with students from 5yrs old to 75yrs old, and train about every breed of horse. It definitely gave me a solid professional foundation in the horse industry!” D.B. former intern and instructor.
