Trainer's Tip: A soft rope halter lays at the key pressure points on the horse's head, ready for the slightest movement down the lead rope. Stiff, starched halters do not lay at the ready and require greater energy and face rubbing for the horse to feel the pressure. Quieter energy is the key to lightness and eventual liberty work.
