Cascade Mountain Camp IV

Get away to the Cascade Mountains with just you and your horse.  Ride in the mountains.  Sleep in the cabins.  Swim in the pool. It’s three days/three nights of intensive learning and fun for you and your horse.  There are plenty of activities for family members too.

The Itinerary: Each morning it's up and at 'em for a hearty breakfast in the farm house, lovingly prepared by Penny Blackburn.  Then it's off for instruction on the ranch, a leisurely lunch break and then up into the hills for more instruction and to put your skills to the test. Intermediate riders will enjoy a leisurely trail ride, while advanced riders will cantor off for some more difficult riding in the backcountry.  On Saturday Three Peaks Outfitters will stop by for a backcountry packing workshop.  In the evenings its great conversation around a delicious home cooked dinner and then an evening of story sharing or songs around the campfire.

The Instructor:  Terry Wilson is a Parelli two-star instructor who started his Parelli journey as Pat and Linda's farrier and then as farm manager at the the International Study Center in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.  He spent a year under the tutelage of Pat's mentor, Ronny Willis at the LaCense Ranch along the western slopes of the Blacktail Mountain range in Montana.  He now is a bi-coastal instructor who spends his "spare" time at home in Pagosa Springs working young and difficult horses for private clients.

Accommodations: Lodging is rustic, so you'll need to bring your "bed roll" and pillow.  Groups of up to eight will be sharing cabins with bunk beds.  Clean, well-maintained shower houses with modern bathrooms are shared.  Private and family accommodations are available by special arrangement, at additional cost.  RV parking is available.
